Four Sisters...

My mom used to be a big fan of the tv show Sisters and would quote a saying from it that said, "Four sisters, for each other, forever" I've heard her say it so many times and it is soooo true. I love my sissies. I know that no matter what I am going through, I can call on any one of my sisters and they will be there for me - listening, crying, helping out or laughing with me. They are for sure my best friends.
Being the baby girl, I've always had 3 wonderful examples to look up to. We are all so different, taken different paths in our lives, but somehow very much the same.

It's been a long hiatus from our regular sisters' lunch - I think our last one was at Mickey Mantle's Restaurant in Manhattan when I lived in NY, in which we had to include Paul Weldon and Jake. Before that it was a trip to see Sweet Home Alabama together which is now one of my favorite movies of all time.
Anyway, let's get back on track here.

Yesterday the 4 girls plus our awesome mom went out to lunch. Thanks DyDy for organizing it. It was so much fun. We laughed, told stories and even listened to Julie recite the first half of The Living Christ, which I am now very motivated to study, learn and memorize.

I hope we can somehow make this the start of our old tradition again, because it was much needed, refreshing, and so very enjoyable.
Thanks chicas. I love you.

  2. I love this picture and I love my Goodman cousins! So many fun memories come flooding back when I see you all. How blest we were to grow up on the same street and share so many fun times together...ball games, DQ, sharing clothes, laying out by the pool, river rafting, Christopher Creek, Charlies Angels (I'm not sure you were old enough for that one), playing outside, family parties....and the list goes on. I'm glad I'm playing volleyball again and get to see you weekly too. Maybe someday we'll figure out a way to beat the Mad Dogs, but I doubt it.
